Representing the pinnacle of their whisky-making pursuits, the Single Cask series unveils the extraordinary character of Archie Rose’s most distinguished individual barrels. This release demanded a design that felt unmistakably Archie — anchored in their iconic bottle and label architecture — yet elevated beyond anything the distillery had attempted before.

Every detail was considered. The angled hexagonal presentation base, precision-crafted from solid timber. The subtle reveal of the Archie Rose symbol tucked beneath a hand-finished faux-leather strap. The custom aftergrain emboss applied to the paper stock to introduce a tactile gravitas. Like a remarkable whisky, the design reveals its layers slowly — a series of finishes, textures and micro-details that reward patience and close attention.

The SQUAD team and I spent over 12 months researching, conceptualising, refining and testing to bring this singular design to life. It’s this level of care, curiosity and craftsmanship that whisky drinkers around the world have come to expect from Australia’s most awarded distillery — a fitting vessel for a release defined by rarity and mastery.
