Upon discovering a forbidden experimental hop on distant planet HBC1019, our astronaut learns it can power their ship and propel them into the unknown. The beer itself mirrors the story: the blackest stout crowned with a deep golden head, rich with uncharted flavour.
To capture this interstellar journey, the can design embraces space-age illustration, playful compositions and custom typography. Printed on laser-foil stock with high-build embellishments and layered white plates, the result is a can that feels as experimental as the hops themself.
The Felons marketing team brought the world to life with photography, merchandise and storytelling, while 3D visualiser Jack Hawkins produced the stunning renders.
Created to celebrate Felons’ fourth anniversary, this Dragonfruit IPA honours the brewery’s constant innovation and the wild beauty of the fruit itself. Inspired by campaign work from Felons’ birthday festivities, the design draws from psychedelic colour palettes and the fruit’s South American origins—balancing Old Western Americana with the juicy chaos of dragonfruit.
Extensive UV varnishes create a ribbed, wavy texture that feels as vibrant as it looks, while alternating metallised finishes ensure key elements pop against the sea of magentas and greens.
The Felons team extended the design into limited-edition merch and packaging, and I created the 3D renders to build anticipation ahead of launch.
Born from a shared love of modern American hops, this collaboration between Felons and hazy-beer legends Fox Friday demanded a design that blended both worlds. The beer is abundant, aromatic and silky-smooth—with sweet grapefruit notes, cotton-candy top notes and a lush finish.
The can reflects this richness through alternating matte and metallic finishes that lift each brewery’s name off the label. At the centre, we reversed the finishes to form the iconic Felons diamond. Deep tonal colours echo the fruity hop profile, while matte high-build layers add tactility and depth. The result: a bold limited release that stands confidently on the shelf and fits naturally within both breweries’ lineups.

As part of the extended brand partnership, I’ve developed a series of poster campaigns for Felons’ events and Barrel Hall programming. Each identity is crafted to align with the brewery’s vibrant personality while bringing a fresh point of view to their diverse calendar—expanding the brand world far beyond the can.
